Anthem Releases February 2019, Check Out the Latest Trailer

EA's Play Live Press Conference was held today, officially kicking off the E3 festivities. Of course, it wouldn't be a proper conference if we didn't learn more about Anthem, BioWare's new action-RPG. Anthem puts you into the shoes of a Freelancer, whose jobs it is to explore the wild environoment around them, and all the danger that entails. Players can play Anthem alone or with others, so anyone will be able to enjoy BioWare's latest title.

EA provides a nice summary for Anthem, if you haven't been paying attention to BioWare's title:

In Anthem, up to four players explore and battle in a dangerous, mysterious place populated by great characters and a unique BioWare story. Players will also create stories of their own while they play, so no two journeys are the same. Javelin exosuits make their pilots powerful heroes in the world, with awesome weapons and incredible special abilities that allow for combat and exploration in a hostile environment. Players will be able to customize and personalize their suits with unique paint jobs and gear so they’ll have the right tools to confront almost any situation, and look good doing it.

There's also a new trailer for the game, which shows off some beautiful in-engine footage:

We've also gotten a release date for Anthem: February 22, 2019. You can even pre-order the game from EA's website, and recieve some extra goodies. There's both the Standard Edition, and the Legion of Dawn Edition available. The Legion of Dawn edition comes with some special Legendary Armor and Gear Packs, as well as a digital version of Anthem's soundtrack. Origin Access Premier players will also get to try out the game a week early, while Origin Access Basic members will get to play 10 hours for free as a part of the Play First Trial.

Anthem is set to release on PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4 on February 22, 2019.

Update: Bioware also uploaded gameplay footage from the reveal earlier today during EA Play. About 20 minutes of gameplay footage discussing the different Javelin types, as well as a runthrough of the "Scars and Villainy" mission.
