Monster Hunter: World - Shipments and Digital Sales pass 10 Million units

Capcom has announced that Monster Hunter: World has surpassed 10 million units sold, when counting console version shipments and digital download sales. Following its Steam launch earlier this month, which has sold at an unprecedented rate for a Japanese game on the platform, Monster Hunter: World is Capcom's best-selling title.

The Monster Hunter franchise debuted in 2004 and since has become one of the most prominent video game franchises, having sold more than 50 million units cumulatively. For those who can't get enough of the series, Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate launches later this month for Nintendo Switch, although it is different in many ways

Monster Hunter isn't going anywhere, with an animated CG special set to release next year.
