Seemingly out of nowhere, PlayStation has posted a new trailer for Nioh 2, showcasing a variety of combat scenes and announcing a closed alpha test running from May 24 to June 2. The game was announced with a brief teaser at Sony Interactive Entertainment's E3 event last summer.
Team Ninja stated in a tweet that invites for participation in the closed alpha have gone out to select users, and to stay alert for more information in the future.
The trailer shows various types of characters in combat, from samurai to a priestess. In a live stream last summer, director Fumihiko Yasuda stated that the game will include a character customization system.
Nioh 2 is currently announced for PlayStation 4.
