Fallout: New Vegas Patch almost ready to go

The guys at Bethesda have announced that the Fallout: New Vegas patch has been finished off and submitted to the platform holders for testing and certification via the official Fallout Facebook page.

"We've wrapped up work on the Fallout: New Vegas patch and submitted it," the fan-page wrote. "We'll let you know when it's up on PS3, 360 and Steam." Sony, Microsoft and Valve check patches for problems that could potentially fry your consoles or wipe your hard drives, so it won't release for a little bit yet - but it's almost here!

This patch is the large-scale patch that has been promised since the game's launch, and is touted to stop such crazy things as save game corruption, companions randomly disappearing forever, and a bunch of graphical glitches, clipping and so on. In short, it should go a long way to fixing the game.

We reviewed Fallout: New Vegas back on launch, and by far the largest problem holding the game back were the bugs. Here's hoping this fixes most of them - we'll let you know when the patch is available for download!
