Pokemon Black and White to release in Europe on 4th March

Nintendo Europe has at last confirmed that Pokemon Black & White will release in Europe on March 4th, two days before North American fans will get their hands on the game.

Nintendo put out a press release confirming the release date as March 4th, underlining the fact that the new titles were the fastest selling Nintendo DS games ever in their first week of sales in Japan, something we reported on back when the impressive sales numbers were announced.

As usual, Black and White will task players with both completing the Pokedex - this time for the Unova region - as well as battling trainers and gym leaders to become the Pokemon league champion of that region.

Owners of Pokemon HeartGold, SoulSilver, Platinum, Diamond and Pearl will be able to capture Shiny versions of the Legendary Pokemon Raikou, Entei and Suicune via the Nintendo WiFi connection. Those downloads will be available from February 7th onwards. Nintendo have promised to release more details on this deal through the official website of Gold and Silver.
