White Knight Chronicles II and Portable Coming to the West

After various leaks by voice actors, the official word is finally here: White Knight Chronicles II and White Knight Portable will be crossing the ocean to be enjoyed by those who don't speak the Japanese language.

Not many details are known as of yet as far as release specifications--it still isn't clear if it's coming to the United States yet (but it probably is), but the European PlayStation Blog did share some details on what we should expect from both games.

White Knight Chronicles II will continue off where the original ended. Expect this continuing campaign to last somewhere around 30 hours, in addition to an expanded 6 player online quest system. Both the combat system and graphics engine have been revised, offering a much more streamlined experience.

The portable version of White Knight Chronicles, called White Knight Chronicles: Origins, takes place 10,000 before the start of the first game. It also includes a 30 hour campaign along with 4 player online. You'll also be able to trade quests in this PSP game.

Both games will be available on PlayStation 3 and PSP in May of this year, respectively. White Knight Chronicles: Origins will also be available to download through PSN. A specific release date has yet to be announced, but when it does, we'll be sure to let you know.
