Tales of Arise Outfits: How to get all costumes for every character

Tales of Arise is the latest in a series of JRPGs dating back some 25 years and counting. You don't stick around for so long without developing certain celebrated qualities, and in the case of the Tales Of franchise, one of those qualities is the inclusion of optional costumes. Tales of Arise is no different, with an impressive number of cosmetic items strewn throughout the world as well as several pieces of DLC-only garb.

The purpose of this guide is to reveal to you the location of all costumes in Tales of Arise. Some will unlock automatically as you play through the story. Others will require that certain conditions be fulfilled, such as the completion of Sub-Quests. And yes, others are tied to monetized downloadable content, but thankfully there's a decent array you don't need to pay another dime to enjoy.

Tales of Arise Costumes List: All unlockable outfits for every character

To differentiate between what can be unlocked in-game and what's purchasable as premium content, we'll list each character's in-game costumes separately, followed by a section at the end of the guide specifically denoting DLC items. By isolating the premium content, we're giving you a complete look at what comes in the Tales of Arise package; afterward, you can elect to ignore the extra-cost fare or read on to reveal what funk your money can afford you.

Please be advised that the following main contain light spoilers. We've minimized this by excluding individual screenshots and being brief about costume requirements, but location names alone can spoil a bit of the fun for some players!

Lastly, you'll notice some overlap in costume listings between the characters. (For example, "Farmer's Clothes" appears for all six party members.) This isn't in error; multiple costumes come in sets, visually tweaked for each character but listed with the same name across the cast.
