Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Bloodmoon Beast: How to find and catch the Bloodmoon Ursaluna
Although you still aren't able to catch Ursaluna normally in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet: The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero, there's a new forme exclusive to the DLC that players can embark on a quest to capture; once they've convinced Perrin, the descendant of Adaman from Pokemon Legends: Arceus. It's a bit of an involved process, so let's get to it!
How to catch Bloodmoon Ursaluna
While you'll be able to spot Perrin from the beginning of the DLC, and even introduce yourself, she won't entertain your interest in assisting her until she's absolutely certain you're more than qualified... by catching at least 150 Pokemon in the Kitakami Pokedex. So, chances are that catching this Pokemon may be one of the last things you do in Kitakami.
But wait, there's more! Once you've completed catching enough of the Pokedex, she'll then challenge you to a battle - and after beating her team, then you'll be tasked with helping catalog all of the Pokemon in the Timeless Woods during a foggy night as a minigame. The Pokemon in question you'll want to capture a photo of are as follows:
- Sudowoodo
- Spinarak
- Vikavolt
- Litwick
- Geodude
- Seedot
- Duskull
- Hatenna
- Lotad
- Salandit
Finally, once you've completed that minigame you must fight the Bloodmoon Ursaluna as a Titan fight. This is a tough fight, so make sure that your team is prepared! Bloodmoon Ursaluna's signature move, Blood Moon, has a massive 140 base damage - and with Bloodmoon Ursaluna's massive Special Attack stat, if you're unlucky you might find your whole party getting wiped.
Once you've won against the beast, you'll be given the option to catch it. While Bloodmoon Ursaluna itself isn't legendary, this specific one might as well be. If you stop by Perrin and speak with her after you caught the Ursaluna, Perrin will have another gift for you - as thanks for helping return her passion for photography.
