Middle-earth: Shadow of War Legendary Sets and Gear Guide: where to find the best gear in the game
Mordor is a dangerous place to wander in Middle-earth: Shadow of War, but Legendary Sets present your best chance of survival as you charge headlong into battle.
These Legendary sets will not only increase Talion's damage output with melee, stealth and ranged attacks, increase his maximum health and focus, and let him slip past Uruk-hai more easily, but, when multiple Legendary gear from the same set is worn, bonuses activate that will lend you an edge when taking down your enemies.
Plus, completing upgrade challenges tied to each gear in a Legendary set presents a chance for players to strengthen them - helping you to become an even greater force to be reckoned with.

How To Get Legendary Gear in Shadow of War
There are 10 Legendary sets of gear in Middle-earth: Shadow of War, although one set, which we have left out as not to spoil anything, will be automatically unlocked through normal story progression.
Each Legendary set is broken down into six separate pieces of gear and the unlock conditions are standardised across them all apart from the Vendetta Legendary Set, which requires the player to kill Online Vendetta targets with specific methods, and the Bright Lord Legendary Set, which is found behind the Ithildin Doors and poem puzzles that lie in the Barrows in each region.
You will randomly accumulate the other Legendary gear as you play, often coming to blows with Legendary Captains as you are working toward other objectives. But, if you want to hunt them down, the quickest way is to use Worms to reveal each Captain's identity in the region and take out any that are Legendary.
Each Captain belongs to a particular tribe, such as Dark or Mystic, and has an advanced class, like an Assassin or Beastmaster. These will factor into which Legendary gear they will drop once they have been killed on the battlefield.
Dark Legendary Set
Set Bonus 2 Equipped: Gain 1 Might when enemies take damage from your Poison
Set Bonus 4 Equipped: All attacks have a 15 percent chance to inflict an explosive poison on grunts.
Dark Sword
Gain the Darkest Sword by killing a Legendary Dark Slayer or Dark Destroyer.
Dark Dagger
Gain the Darkest Dagger after completing Knife in the Dark.
Dark Bow
Gain the Darkest Bow by killing a Legendary Dark Marksman or Dark Tracker.
Dark Armor
Gain the Darkest Armor by killing a Legendary Dark Tank.
Dark Cloak
Gain the Darkest Cloak by killing a Legendary Dark Beastmaster or Dark Beserker.
Dark Ringcraft
Gain the Darkest Rune by killing a Legendary Dark Commander or Dark Trickster.
Feral Legendary Set
Set Bonus 2 Equipped: Shadow Mount unbroken graugs.
Set Bonus 4 Equipped: Shadow Mount unbroken drakes.
Feral Sword
Gain the Sword of Beasts by killing a Legendary Feral Slayer or Feral Destroyer.
Feral Dagger
Gain the Dagger of Beasts by killing a Legendary Feral Assassin or Feral Beserker.
Feral Bow
Gain the Bow of Beasts by killing a Legendary Feral Marksman or Feral Tracker.
Feral Armor
Gain the Armor of Beasts by killing a Legendary Feral Tank.
Feral Cloak
Gain the Cloak of Beasts by killing a Legendary Feral Beastmaster.

Gain the Rune of Beasts by killing a Legendary Feral Commander or Feral Trickster.
Machine Legendary Set
Set Bonus 2 Equipped: Call Followers summons Sappers and Iron Guard summons more Sappers.
Set Bonus 4 Equipped: Elven Light also scatters explosives around you.

Gain the Threshing Sword by killing a Legendary Machine Slayer or Machine Beserker.
Machine Dagger
Gain the Threshing Dagger by killing a Legendary Machine Assassin or Machine Tracker.
Machine Bow

Marauder Legendary Set
Set Bonus 2 Equipped: Picking up Mirian increases damage by 2 percent per Mirian gained for 20 seconds.
Set Bonus 4 Equipped: Picking up Mirian recovers 2 Health per Mirian gained.
Marauder Sword

Set Bonus 2 Equipped: Perform attacks requiring Might by consuming 40 percent of your max Health instead.
Set Bonus 4 Equipped: If you have no Elf-shot, you can perform Ranged Attacks by consuming 25 percent of your max Health.
Vendetta Sword
Gain the Sword of Vengeance by completing your first Online Vendetta.
Vendetta Dagger
Gain the Dagger of Vengeance by using a Stealth Attack against an Online Vendetta target.
Vendetta Bow
Gain the Longbow of Vengeance by getting a Headshot against an Online Vendetta target.

Gain the Armor of Vengeance by killing an Online Vendetta target while above 80 percent Health.

Gain the Cloak of Vengeance by using a mounted attack against an Online Vendetta target.

Gain the Rune of Vengeance by Dominating an Online Vendetta target.
Bright Lord Legendary Set
Set Bonus 2 Equipped: Gain Wrath 50 percent faster, but Elven Rage lasts half as long.
Set Bonus 4 Equipped: Replenish all Elf-shot when killing an enemy during Elven Rage.
Bright Lord Sword
