Pokemon Legends: Z-A Side Mission List and Rewards

Much like its predecessor, Pokemon Legends: Z-A is the most explicit RPG in the series' history, and as such has seen the return to full-fledged side quests. These Side Missions are dotted across Lumiose; and while it will never be too difficult to find every quest, we've put together a list of all the quests we've found so far, what they ask of the player, and what the rewards ultimately are.

All quests in Pokemon Legends Z-A are recorded in your log, which can be accessed at any time by pressing Plus to bring up the map, and then X to bring up the quest list. On this menu, the Main tab refers to story missions - there’s 42 of those, and you'll complete them all as you advance the story. The Side tab lists Side Missions, which would be the bulk of the game's additional content. Please note, there may be spoilers in mission descriptions!

Pokemon Legends Z-A Side Missions Guide: Tips for Side Missions

Before we get into the Side Missions list proper, there’s some things you should be aware of about how side missions work in this game. Taking in these key pointers will help keep you sane as you work through the massive quest list, if you're going for a completed save file.

Side Mission unlocks are often tied to progression in some way. If a mission is missing from the Lumiose City map, it means you either haven’t progressed enough in the game’s story, you haven’t caught one of an associated Pokemon to trigger the quest, or you haven’t completed a previous ‘requisite’ mission before the one you’re missing.
All Side Missions will be visible on the map. This means that if you can't find a mission on the map, you'll need to complete more of the story for it to show up first, or to complete earlier quests in the chain.
Side Mission rewards vary greatly. The best Side Missions will reward you Pokemon, or items to evolve Pokemon; others will give Rare Candies, Hold Items and more. Some missions will even open up new shops to interact with.
