Octopath Traveler 0: All Letter Fragment Locations and how to enter the Isle of Sages

While not the biggest collectable in Octopath Traveler 0, one of the items you'll want to keep on lookout for are Letter Fragments. This is an in-game collectable that, once all collected, will allow you to enter the Isle of Sages and recruit another Traveler to your party.

Just like with the Crested Keys, one of these fragments you can obtain right at the beginning of the game, if you choose it as a Belonging for your player-created character.

Editor's Note: If you do not pick the Letter Fragment as a Belonging when you create your character, I assume the fragment will become available later as you build back up the Town of Wishvale. You earn a reward for completing the Workshop, Hub, and Church, and I assume it would be one of those rewards. I cannot verify this directly, however, since I picked a Letter Fragment as a Belonging.

There are only five Letter Fragments to find in Octopath Traveler 0. If you are on this page, chances are the one you are missing is the last one in the list below, obtained by Path Action Entreat from 'Cat of Graceful Bearing' in Atlasdam. This requires the 'Animal Whisperer' bonus from Wishvale's Sacred Flame Dais, which requires you to have completed both the Kindlers of the Flame questline and have spent an Azure Flamestone to unlock the bonus.

Once you have all five Letter Fragments, they'll automatically combine into a 'Secret Invitation' Key Item, which allows you to enter the Isle of Sages in the southern Outersea.

Choose as a 'Belonging' during character creation at the beginning of the game.
[I assume this is available after progressing through town creation if you do NOT choose it as a Belonging.]

Found as a blue spot in Path to Herminia's Manse. It appeared for me after building a museum in Wishvale, but it might be available earlier.
