Octopath Traveler 0 save data bonus guide: every game bonus and how to claim them
Octopath Traveler 0 from Square Enix is now available worldwide on PC and consoles. Alongside the standard edition, there is a Digital Deluxe Edition available as well featuring in-game content and an artbook. Octopath Traveler 0 save data bonus list
- Octopath Traveler - Blue Cait Statue: A statue depicting a cait demihuman. Slightly increases EXP and leaves obtained while placed. Effects from decorations of the same type do not stack.
- Octopath Traveler II - Blue Octopuff Statue: A statue depicting an octopoid demihuman. Slightly increases JP obtained while placed. Effects from decorations of the same type do not stack.
- Bravely Default Flying Fairy HD Remaster - Fortifying Nut (M): Greatly increases Phys. Atk. (Only on Nintendo Switch 2).
- Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake - Invigorating Nut (M): Greatly increases max. SP.
- Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake - Nourishing Nut (M): Greatly increases max. HP.
Note that you can get the save data bonus from demos for games that have demos as well.
Where to check save data bonus in Octopath Traveler 0
On the title screen, press the top face button (X on Switch, Y on Xbox, or Triangle on PlayStation) to view the save data bonuses detected in Octopath Traveler 0.
How to transfer Octopath Traveler 0 save data from Switch to Switch 2 version
While Octopath Traveler 0 lets you transfer your save from the Switch 1 version to the Switch 2 version on the title screen as shown above, you cannot upgrade the game. The two games are completely separate purchases as I covered here.
How to claim Octopath Traveler 0 save data bonuses in-game
Once you finish the prologue, you can talk to the bartender at a bar in any city and select the "Claim Bonuses" option. This will list any save data bonus or DLC you can claim.
What to do if Octopath Traveler 0 isn't detecting your save data for bonuses
If you own the games listed above, you need to make sure the save data is downloaded. This means you will need to make sure the Switch save data is downloaded on your Switch 2 and to ensure the PS4 save data is on PS5 if you played the games above on PS4 (if applicable). For Steam, you need to play Octopath Traveler 0 on the same account that owns the other titles.
If the save data bonus is still not being detected, make sure the saves are downloaded to the system. Launch Octopath Traveler 0 again and press the top face button to check for save data bonuses. Note that you also don't need to have the full games downloaded since Octopath Traveler 0 only needs the save data on the same console (or purchase history on PC).
