Octopath Traveler 0: How to make River Bean Patties and where to find the River Bean Patty Recipe

As you play through Octopath Traveler 0, you find several potential inhabitants to invite to the rebuilt town of Wishvale. Some require a gift of a certain food item in order to be invited, which usually can be found through Path Actions in each of the game's major town areas. However, one recipe might catch you off guard if you aren't careful, and that is the recipe to make a dish called River Bean Patties.

There are two characters that require this food item - one NPC and one traveler. Pleasant Goldsmith in Victors Hollow requires River Bean Patties in order to be invited, and Carinda (a playable traveler) requires River Bean Patties to fill her Inquiries in Wishvale.

In the Journal section of the menu, head to Party Chat --> Bonds of Fellowship --> New Companions. This is a chat with El the Swordsman that takes place during Master of All chapter 3. Even if you missed activating this chat during the story, it is placed in your Journal regardless, meaning this recipe is not missable. Simply watch the chat that you missed, and you'll obtain the River Bean Patty Recipe. It's that simple! He really does like his River Beans...

The other Recipe not gained through Town Recipe Books or story progression is the Berry Pie Recipe. You get this from Inquiring the Friendly Server in Cragspears Tavern. Just so you know!
