Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition has sold 1 million copies worldwide

Bandai Namco revealed that Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition has reached 1 million copies sold worldwide. The last recorded figure for the remaster was 500,000 copies shipped worldwide as of February 2019—one month after it was released simultaneously worldwide on January 11, 2019.

Tales of Vesperia originally appeared worldwide on Xbox 360 in 2008. Although Japan also saw the RPG released for PlayStation 3 in September 2009, that one port was never brought westwards. The remastered Definitive Edition was first revealed at Microsoft's E3 2018 conference. However, it was soon revealed to be coming to not only Xbox One but also PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC.

Bandai Namco is currently celebrating the milestone by holding a sale of the game on the Japanese PlayStation Store and Nintendo eShop until March 3. Known in Japan as Tales of Vesperia Remaster, it had also been included frequently in Steam sales; it received a 75% discount from the 2020 Autumn Sale to the most recent 2021 Lunar New Year Sale.
