Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier is a mobile-based battle royale game coming this year
Today's a big day for Final Fantasy VII Remake news - as well as getting confirmation of the PlayStation 5 version of FF7 Remake (now subtitled Final Fantasy VII Remake: Intergrade), we now have confirmation of an all-new FF7 title: Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier.
Uncerimoniously announced on the official Final Fantasy VII twitter account, The First Soldier is an all-new battle royale game for iOS and Android mobile devices. It'll launch at some point in 2021.
Set thirty years before the events of FF7, it sees players in Midgar as a SOLDIER candidate, fighting for survival. The trailer shows players using classic FF7 abilities, fighting with a range of weapons including firearms and martial arts. We see everything from sniping on high to magic spells.

FINAL FANTASY VII THE FIRST SOLDIER is a battle royal action game set in Midgar before the events of FINAL FANTASY VII. As a SOLDIER candidate, the player will make full use of their magic and abilities in a battle for their survival.
