Senran Ninnin Ninja Taisen Neptune world background and main characters introduced
Compile Heart has launched the Japanese official website for Senran Ninnin Ninja Taisen Neptune: Shoujo-tachi no Kyouen. The site is currently showing background descriptions of the game's world, as well as screenshots and biographies of the 9 main characters who will all be playable in this Neptunia-Senran Kagura crossover action RPG.
The Japanese voice actresses from both Neptunia and Senran Kagura franchises will all reprise the character roles. The website has also publicized the character artwork for the original protagonist Yuuki.

Background
Senran Ninnin Ninja Taisen Neptune will take place in an illusion world of ninjas known in Japanese as Geimu Ninkai. The world is in a tumultuous warring state as a few large nations and many small nations are fighting against each other. Each nation sends Ninjas as their primary forces into battles.
Out of the numerous countries, there are two large nations with influential ninja schools. The nation of Hato's School of Konpa focuses on Command-style Ninjutsu, while the nation of Maabe's School of Hanipa has expertise in Action-style Ninjutsu. However, a mysterious mechanical ninja group with Shoot-style Ninjutsu suddenly crushed the other smaller nations. The group leader You Geima then made the following declaration to the world:
"It's the beginning of the Super Ninja War to decide the strongest School in the world!"
Nation of Hato - School of Konpa
Neptune, Noire, Blanc, and Vert receive their Japanese-style combat-dedicated looks after performing Henshin Command. They also declare their names based on the basic color of their Ninja Clothes.
Purple Heart (voiced by Rie Tanaka)
After Neptune has transformed, she will look more mature. Although her personality becomes more calm and collected, her behaviors may still show her original natural airheadedness.
"Your opponent is me. Well then, here I come!"
Black Heart (voiced by Asami Imai)
The transformed Noire will have a belligerent personality filled with confidence.
"It's finally getting exciting, isn't it. I am always ready. I'll beat you back!"
White Heart (voiced by Kana Asumi)
Blanc's transformed form is infamous for the rough speech and brusque attitude.
"Huh? Come on! I don't know who you are, but don't think you can wreck someone's yard for granted!"
Green Heart (voiced by Rina Sato)
Vert transforms into a cool sister who has no mercy on anyone who opposes her.
"Crushing the head is the basics of battles. If it's hit, the chain of command will go haywire. Even if it's not the top, the effects will be enormous. Let's do it."
Nation of Maabe - School of Hanipa
Asuka, Homura, Yumi, and Miyabi are collectively known as the Four Hanipa Shinobis. They fight after enhancing their physical abilities by performing Shinobi Change and wearing their Shinobi Attires.
Asuka (voiced by Hitomi Harada)
She can easily befriend anyone with her bright and honest personality. Although she doesn't like battles, she does like training and comparing skills.
"When it comes to the feeling to never surrender, I definitely won't lose either!"
Homura (voiced by Eri Kitamura)
With a compassionate and straightforward personality, she cares for her friends. She likes fighting strong people as she desires her own strength.
"Let's settle this. I'm pushing through the Crimson Lotus Path. Let's go!"
Yumi (voiced by Yumi Hara)
With a serious personality, she has a stronger sense of justice than anyone else. Being strict on both herself and others, she may sometimes not understand jokes.
"A Shinobi must come fair and square. Threatening by taking a hostage is not an act of justice."
Miyabi (voiced by Hiromi Hirata)
She can calmly make decisions as she looks for the long term. She faithfully performs her missions with a strong sense of duty.
"How worthless. People who fall with simple things like that are not my match, even if there are hundreds of them gathered."
Nation of Bui - School of Baacha
Yuuki (voiced by Miku Ito)
A ninja who serves Princess Aaru. Despite being positive and flexible at all times, she loses her cool when it comes to the princess. She had been raised as Aaru's companion since she was young, so they are close like actual sisters.
"Sorry for being late. I have a somewhat bad feeling so I wanted to return to the Princess' place right away, but the yokai were blocking my way..."
Senran Ninnin Ninja Taisen Neptune: Shoujo-tachi no Kyouen will be released for PlayStation 4 on August 26 in Japan. An English localization has yet to be announced.
