New Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong Trailer Introduces Leysha

Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong features three characters from different vampire clans, only one of which is Leysha. Leysha, also known as a “seer, prophet, or harbinger,” appeared in her own character-focused trailer during this year’s PC Gaming Show. She is involved with the vampire society called the Boston Camarilla and seems set on protecting her daughter at all costs.

Players can choose to play as any of the three main characters: Leysha, Emem, and Galeb. It’s not certain what each of their backstories and occupations are, though players were offered a glimpse into their lives in the Invitation trailer. Each of these characters has their own motivations and assets that can help the player unravel truth from lies in this suspenseful narrative RPG. Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong pushes players to carefully consider their choices and the consequences they can lead to.

Vampire: The Masquerade will release on all major platforms including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and, of course, PC via the Epic Games Store. Nacon hasn’t revealed an exact date, only that the game will be released in 2021. Any interested fans can rewatch the trailers or visit the official website to keep up-to-date on the game.

Leysha is a Malkavian, one of the founding clans of the Camarilla, and appears as a young woman about 30 years old. Beneath her pale skin and different-sized pupils hides incurable pain, a mental instability that all Malkavians suffer from after the Embrace, the bite inflicted upon a human by a vampire, a creature doomed to remain hidden in plain sight.

In the video, Leysha is playing innocently with her child, Halsey. But this benign situation turns into a waking nightmare and raises the question: is any of this real?

To hide herself, Leysha uses Obfuscate, one of the many vampiric powers that can be used in the game. As a story-driven RPG, Vampire: The Masquerade - Swansong features unique gameplay mechanics. Resolve conflicts and mysteries to gain experience points and levelling up your characters, thus boosting your special powers.
