Shin Megami Tensei V is out November 12 - watch the new trailer

During Nintendo's E3 Direct, a release date for Shin Megami Tensei V was announced. The release date of November 12 was revealed alongside a new trailer that shows off some of Shin Megami Tensei V's gameplay and story.

Shin Megami Tensei V was first revealed in 2017, during the first Nintendo Switch showcase before the console released. Since then, news about the game has come in trickles, with the latest trailer coming out last year. Some news about the release date had leaked prior to now, but we now finally have confirmation that the long-awaited next entry in this beloved series will arrive later this year.

It's a good year for SMT fans, as earlier in the year we got a HD Remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III Nocturne, which released for PS4, Switch, and PC. We found that to be a fairly middling remaster but of an absolute stone-cold classic all-time great RPG - and this is the watermark that SMT5 will be trying to live up to.
