Procedurally-generated tactical RPG Wildermyth coming to Nintendo Switch

Worldwalker Games has revealed that 'character-driven, procedurally-generated tactical RPG' Wildermyth is planned for release for Nintendo Switch. The confirmation was made via Fanbyte by creator Nate Austin. Wildermyth is currently available for Steam.

However, due to the game's Java coding base on PC, the porting process will take time, and Austin states that it will take 'at least a year'. At the very least, those interested in trying out the game can rest assured that a console version port is on the way.

I reviewed Wildermyth earlier this week, finding it technically impressive and remarkably novel in design, although not quite as interesting and I was hoping it would be. Still, there are not many other games like it, and those curious will be able to play on Switch by 2023 or so.

For more information on the game, you can check out its PC release announcement from June 2021.
