For those unaware, Vestaria Saga is a series of tactical RPGs created by Fire Emblem creator Shouzou Kaga with character designs from Mayumi Hirota (Fire Emblem: Thracia 776), developed using SRPG Studio. The first game in the series is Vestaria Saga I: War of the Scions, which was released as freeware in Japan in September 2016 followed by an English Steam release in December 2019.

The Sacred Sword of Silvanister is a 25-chapter spinoff that takes place after Vestaria Saga I: War of the Scions. It was originally released as freeware in Japan in March 2019. While no price has been announced yet, it is worth noting that the original Vestaria Saga was priced at $19.99, despite being free in Japan, to offset translation costs.

Since The Sacred Sword of Silvanister takes place after the original Vestaria Saga, it makes sense to title it as a sequel instead of a Gaiden release. The official website is here.
