Wizardry: The Five Ordeals receives full English language support today

Announced at The Future Games Show during Gamescom 2022, Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is now fully available in English for PC (Steam).

When it first launched in Early Access on December 17, 2021, only parts of the game's UI elements were in English. Now, developer 59 Studio and publisher Game*Spark Publishing noted that all the official scenarios in Wizardry: The Five Ordeals have received an English translation.

Here is a recap on some of the details from its initial announcement.

Wizardry: The Five Ordeals originally released in 2006 as a Japanese-only PC game titled 'Wizardry Gaiden: Itsutsu no Shiren - Five Ordeals'. The dungeon crawler featured five original scenarios along with a scenario editor where players could create their own. This new re-release also includes two additional UI modes compared to the original, giving four total.

Additionally, an Official Online Manual was created to help newcomers understand the systems of Wizardry: The Five Ordeals. It will help people create characters, recruit party members, prepare their equipment and items, explain the basics of navigating the labyrinth, returning to base, leveling up, resting, healing, and so forth.

There is also free downloadable content that adds High Definition Sprites to the game.

Wizardry: The Five Ordeals is available on Steam in Early Access and now fully supports English.
