Koei Tecmo will reveal a new Gust game at Tokyo Game Show 2022

Koei Tecmo has revealed the details of their appearance at Tokyo Game Show 2022. The company will hold a live stream on September 16 at 19:00 JST (UTC+9). But while one part of the stream will highlight Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, the other will feature a currently unknown new game coming from Gust.

The teaser does not hint at any staff names or platforms other than Gust's Japanese logo. But while the subsidiary also occasionally releases other titles like Blue Reflection, there is one thing Gust has been known to do on a yearly basis, and that is the Atelier series. Barring a few exceptions, the studio releases a new Atelier game almost every year. In the previous year, Gust revealed Atelier Sophie 2: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Dream at Tokyo Game Show 2021. It was also the first Atelier game to have a truly simultaneous worldwide release on February 25 this year.

As a side note, the other title in Koei Tecmo's three-game lineup is Nobunaga's Ambition: Hadou. This will be the Japanese Warring States era version of the mobile strategy game that follows the success of the Chinese Three Kingdoms era-based Romance of the Three Kingdoms: Hadou in Japan.
