WrestleQuest walks into the ring with a new Combat Trailer

Developer Mega Cat Studios and publisher Skybound Games have shared a new trailer for WrestleQuest showing off more of its combat systems.

The wrestling-themed RPG shows how battles in the ring are done, with several ways of attacking through strikes through grapples, gimmicks via high-flying manuevers, and tag-team combos with a partner. As mentioned in the title's announcement back in March, a handful of legendary wrestlers are featured. Andre The Giant makes a brief in-game appearance in this new trailer.

As players fight their opponents, their character's Hype Meter will gradually increase. This can be utilized to pull off their signature gimmicks or initiate tag-team combos. When it's time to pin opponents to seize victory, a mini-game will start; people will have to properly line-up an arrow with a moving green box three times successfully to seal the deal. If they fail however, their enemies will rise up after recovering some HP immediately. Scott White was able to get some hands-on time with the wrestling RPG in late April.

No release date has been shared yet, but WrestleQuest will be coming to PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). You can find the new trailer and some new screenshots down below.
