Persona 3 Portable & Persona 4 Golden ports are set to release on January 19, 2023

Atlus has announced the release dates for the upcoming remasters of Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4 Golden. The titles originally came out on the PlayStation Portable and Vita respectively, but both of them will make their way to PS4, Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on January 19, 2023.

The announcement was made first at the "Persona Super Live P-Sound Wish 2022" concert held earlier today in Japan. Atlus has been known to slip in some game-related announcements to the live concerts. But for the 2022 edition, the company released a notice stating that there would be no game announcements. Following today's release date announcements for the ports, the notice was clearly intended to temper fans' expectations for a new mainline entry in the series.

The Persona series' 25th Anniversary webpage has also been updated so that the release date confirmations for P4G & P3P fill the last announcement slot that was scheduled for Autumn 2022.

The P3P & P4G remasters were revealed together with the multiplatform ports of Persona 5 Royal at last June's Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase 2022. but while the P5R ports have an instantly-revealed release date on October 21 this year, the other two remasters were only listed as "Coming Soon" until today.

The Persona 3 and 4 ports will be available on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store. As a reminder, Persona 4 Golden has been available on Steam since June 2020. Atlus revealed one year later that the latter had sold over 1 million units.
