Here's ten new Final Fantasy XVI screenshots

Square Enix has just released a new selection of Final Fantasy XVI screenshots, showing off the world, characters, combat, and visuals of the hugely anticipated upcoming release.

The screenshots were today released alongside a new trailer for the game, subtitled "Ambition". The screenshots are all of scenes that are depcited in that trailer, the newest in a series of tightly-edited showcases of what FF16 is like.

The screenshots feature a range of key visuals, including:

• An ancient tapestry that depicts the Eikons - summons - in the world of FF16. Present on this tapestry are Ifrit, Shiva, Bahamut, Odin, Garuda, Titan, and Leviathan. All of these had been previously announced for the game except Leviathan - that's a new reveal, assuming that is indeed it on the tapestry.
• Images of Clive Battling Garuda in what looks to be a cutscene/scripted battle.
• An image of Jill, who is revealed to be Shiva's Dominant - and is noted as "Master of Both Blade and Ice".
• A first image of Odin's Dominant, a character called Barnabas Tharmr.
• A first image of Bahamut's Dominant, Dion Lesage.
