Borderlands 2 to Ship with Steamworks

Gearbox and Valve have announced today a partnership which would bring Steamworks to all PC copies of Borderlands 2 at launch.

Those who pick up Borderlands 2 for PC will be able to take advantage of Steam achievements, downloadable content, auto-updates, multiplayer machmaking, Steam cloud services, and more. These benefits will be available for anyone who purchases the game on either Steam itself or through retail.

Borderlands 2 launches in North America on September 18 and Europe on September 21, 2012.
