Octopath Traveler II journeys to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows in early 2024

Square Enix has announced that Octopath Traveler II will finally be making its way to the Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows via the Microsoft Store in early 2024. The RPG was previously released on the PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) back in February.

Octopath Traveler II allows players to play as one of eight main characters. As they progress through a character's story, they can travel around the world and recruit the other protagonists to join their party. The sequel further refines the Break & Boost turn-based battle system introduced in the first game.

Over here in RPG Site, Cullen Black loved his time with Octopath Traveler II and scored it with a 9 in his review.

Today, Square Enix and Xbox announced that Octopath Traveler II, the latest entry in the critically acclaimed Octopath Traveler RPG series will be launching on Xbox and Windows PC early next year.

Developed by the same team behind the beloved original, which spawned a series that has sold over four million copies combined worldwide, Octopath Traveler II improves upon the series' iconic HD-2D visuals: a striking blend of retro 2D characters in a beautiful 3D world. The game's new storyline, characters and features make it the perfect entry for newcomers to the series, while also preserving the charm of the original game for veteran players. Players can look forward to following the journey of eight distinct protagonists as they explore the land and conquer enemies in strategic turn-based battles on an adventure all their own.

Octopath Traveler II will be available on Xbox and Windows PC in early 2024 and is available to purchase now on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC via Steam.
