Persona 3 Reload Mitsuru and Akihiko character trailers spotlight the Empress and Emperor

New Persona 3 Reload character trailers uploaded by Atlus have put the spotlight on two of S.E.E.S.' most senior members: Mitsuru Kirijo and Akihiko Sanada. Like previous trailers for Junpei Iori, Yukari Takeba, and the protagonist, the trailers feature scenes from the game and from battle that highlight the characters' personality and how they look in a fight.

Mitsuru's Persona 3 Reload character trailer highlights her high societal standing, known as she is as a "queen" in Gekkokan High. Heiress of a major conglomerate, Mitsuru's privileged upbringing is reflected in her manner as well as her preoccupation with how to "rule" effectively. Her new combat animations also show off her Persona, Penthesilia, and her affinity for Ice-based magic.

In Persona 3 Reload Mitsuru is voiced in English by Allegra Clark, who also voiced characters like Street Fighter 6's Marisa, Fire Emblem: Three Houses' Shamir and Dorothea, and Genshin Impact's Beidou. In Japanese, she's voiced by Rie Tanaka, who also voiced Rosetta in Granblue Fantasy, Himeko in Honkai Star Rail, and Sessyoin Kiara in Fate/Grand Order.

Here's Akihiko's English-language character trailer:

Akihiko's moments show off his seriousness and dedication to training and physical fitness. In battle Akihiko uses boxing equipment, and his Persona, Polydeuces, favors Lightning-based magic skills like Zio. The trailer also revisits a room scene, a set of character-building cutscenes originally added in Persona 3 FES that allow players to peek into characters in their dorm rooms using Iwatodai Dorm's security cameras.

In English Akihiko is voiced by Alejandro Saab, who also voices Fuji in Disgaea 7, Jing Yuan in Honkai Star Rail, and Shaddiq Zenelli in Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch From Mercury. In Japanese he's voiced by Hikaru Midorikawa, who voices Gridman in SSSS.Gridman, Marth in Super Smash Bros. and Fire Emblem Engage, and Best Jeanist in My Hero Academia.

Persona 3 Reload launches on February 2, 2024, on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4, and PS5.
