Nintendo Q3FY2024 Results: Super Mario RPG remake sells 3.14 million units

Nintendo has released its quarterly financials [PDF] through Q3 of the 2024 fiscal year, which reveals that remake of Super Mario RPG has sold 3.14 million units as of December 31.

Relative to previous Nintendo financial releases, we don't have too many other updates regarding RPGs, but we do have Switch best-seller sales updates as follows:

• The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild has sold 31.61 million units since launch [up from 31.15 last quarter]
• The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has sold 20.28 million units since launch [up from 19.50 last quarter]
• Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet have sold 24.36 million units since launch [up from 23.23 last quarter]

We don't know of any upcoming RPG releases coming from Nintendo, but hopefully we'll hear news about the next Fire Emblem sooner than later, or whatever Monolith Soft is working on.
