NieR: Automata surpasses 8 million units sold worldwide

Square Enix has announced that NieR: Automata has surpassed 8 million units sold worldwide. The game previously reached 7.5 million units in April 2023.

For some context, the remastered original NieR Replicant has reached 1.5 million units sold as of November 2022.

NieR Automata most recently released for Nintendo Switch, and Cullen was very impressed with the port. We gave NieR: Automata a rare 10/10 score when it launched in March 2017, while NieR Replicant received a 9/10 at launch.

February 23rd is the 7th anniversary of NieR: Automata. More than 8 million units have been sold or shipped. Thank you for your support.
