Pokemon Legends: Z-A launches for Nintendo Switch simultaneously worldwide in 2025

At the end of the February 2024 Pokemon Presents, Nintendo and The Pokemon Company showed a teaser trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A. The new game will be available on the Nintendo Switch simultaneously worldwide in 2025.

The trailer starts by showing a document for an Urban Redevelopment Plan. It then shows neon outlines of Pokemon and humans mingling in a cityscape. It suggests that this game may take place in the present day, as opposed to Pokemon Legends: Arceus depicting the past version of Sinnoh as Hisui.

The latter parts of the trailer confirm that this game will take place in Lumiose City. As a reminder, Lumiose City is the central city of Kalos region in the 2013 3DS entries Pokemon X and Y, and it is modeled after France's capital city Paris.

The teaser trailer for Pokemon Legends: Z-A is also available to view on its own right below. Not much else is known about the new title's gameplay features for now, so we expect The Pokemon Company to reveal more details via a new Pokemon Presents program in the coming months.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A, an ambitious new entry to the Pokémon video game series, will be released simultaneously worldwide on Nintendo Switch in 2025. An exciting new adventure awaits players within Lumiose City, where an urban redevelopment plan is underway to shape the city into a place that belongs to both people and Pokémon.
