Xuan Yuan Sword 7 launches for Nintendo Switch on May 30

Eastasissoft has announced that Xuan Yuan Sword 7 will launch on May 30 for Nintendo Switch. The action RPG originally released for Steam in October 2020, followed by a PS4 & Xbox One release in September 2021.

Xuan Yuan Sword is a long series of Taiwanese-developed action RPGs featuring ancient Chinese stories and mythology. Xuan Yuan Sword 7 (sometimes stylized as Xuan-Yuan Sword VII) is only the second entry in the series to support English subtitles. The most recent entry in the franchise is Xuan Yuan Sword: Mists Beyond the Mountains, a remake of Xuan Yuan Sword 3 that released last year for Nintendo Switch and PC.

Today we are thrilled to announce that acclaimed action RPG Xuan Yuan Sword 7 will launch on the Nintendo Switch eShop May 30th. Digital pre-orders are available today at an exclusive 10% discount.

Inspired by Chinese legends and mythology, standalone epic Xuan Yuan Sword 7 is the latest and most advanced game in the series’ 33-year history. This Nintendo Switch version of the game has been made possible by Eastasiasoft Limited in partnership with Softstar Entertainment Inc. and original developer DOMO Studio. Porting has been led by Eastasiasoft Limited in close cooperation with Catness Game Studios, and the game has undergone months of optimization for the best possible experience, making this one of the most visually impressive games to release late in the life of Nintendo Switch.

Digital pricing is set at US$39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99 / 4800 JPY / 288 HKD before applicable pre-order discounts on the eShop. Physical editions will begin to ship in the same week as digital release. For physical copies, Eastasiasoft Limited has committed to having the full experience on the game card, which will require a 16GB card due to the RPG’s immense size, high-end graphics and cinematic presentation. Limited Editions will include the game, manual, soundtrack CD, art book and numbered certificate in a collector’s box. Standard and Limited Edition pre-orders are available through online retail partner Playasia.

Xuan Yuan Sword 7 features subtitle support for English, Japanese, French, German, Spanish, Russian, Turkish, Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese.
