Pokemon Sword and Shield soundtrack appears on Nintendo Music app
The Pokemon Company revealed that Nintendo has just added the original soundtrack for Pokemon Sword and Shield to the Nintendo Music app. Those who can access the app with a Nintendo Switch Online-subscribed account can now find tracks from the 8th-generation mainline games of the Pokemon franchise.
This new addition has thus completed a pattern where Nintendo gradually adds soundtracks from major Pokemon titles released exclusively on the original Nintendo Switch in reverse release order (while omitting prior gen remakes like Brilliant Diamond & Shining Pearl and Let's Go Pikachu & Eevee). Pokemon Scarlet and Violet were part of the launch roster when the Nintendo Music app just came out last year on October 31. Nintendo later added the soundtrack of Pokemon Legends: Arceus on January 28.
Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have also published a short video offering a sneak peek of the game's soundtrack, and you can also find it right below. Pokemon Sword and Shield are available worldwide on Nintendo Switch, and they will also be playable on the upcoming Nintendo Switch 2 via backward compatibility.
