Pokemon Scarlet & Violet, Zelda Echoes of Wisdom, and Link's Awakening free Switch 2 updates detailed
Nintendo has revealed details for the previously announced free Switch 2 updates coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Remake, and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom on June 5.
Depending on the game, there will be enhancements to visuals, performance, and even HDR support added. Aside from the four games of note to us on RPG Site, you can find all the games listed on the official website here that also has other games that will get free updates. Nintendo confirms that Pokemon Scarlet and Violet will both get visual optimization for improved image quality and also frame rate improvements.
The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening Remake and The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom on the other hand will get visual optimizations for improved image quality and HDR support. While there is no mention of frame rate improvements for these two Zelda titles, I hope the uncapped frame rate just hits a locked 60fps on Switch 2. We will have to wait for launch day to see how this plays out.
