Capcom holds original Weapon and Pendant design contests for Monster Hunter Wilds

Capcom has launched a new contest for user-made designs of Weapons and Pendants for Monster Hunter Wilds. The company will eventually implement the top winning design from each category as actual in-game equipment.

Those who want to participate in this contest must still have an account on the social media X (ex-Twitter), because that's where Capcom will gather the submissions via tweets that have been marked with the hashtags #MHWilds and #WeaponEntry or #PendantEntry. Aspiring participants have until Tuesday, June 24, at 7:59 UTC to submit their designs. Note that the participants also have to follow a different account based on their location:

A person can submit multiple designs with the same account, but Capcom discourages them from making collaborative designs with other people. In addition, the company will disqualify any entries that are found to be infringing other third-party copyrights or made with generative AI.

Once Capcom has determined the top 20 designs in each category, they will let the general public vote for the top 8 on July 11-18. However, this poll will take place on Capcom's website, with each voter required to register their own Capcom ID. The Top 8 winners—to be announced on July 25—will also be mentioned in the game's credits, but only one grand winner for each category will be announced on September 27, with their designs actually coming to the game in early 2026.

Capcom has also shared samples based on weapons and pendants already existing in-game, so that aspiring participants have a clear idea of how to submit their own designs:

Monster Hunter Wilds is available worldwide on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam. Capcom just recently launched new Street Fighter 6 crossover content for the game. The company is also working on the second major title update that will bring back the Monster Hunter 3 mascot Lagiacrus this Summer.
