Ys X: Proud Nordics launches on August 21 for Steam and Switch 2 in Asia through Clouded Leopard Entertainment

Clouded Leopard Entertainment has just announced that it will launch Ys X: Proud Nordics on August 21 for Nintendo Switch 2 and Steam in Asia. Note that this release will not support English text or voices, but it will support only Korean and Simplified Chinese text with Japanese voices like other Clouded Leopard-published releases of Falcom games.

If you've not kept up with it, Ys X: Proud Nordics is a significantly upgraded version of Ys X: Nordics that was originally revealed for unannounced platforms, but was since confirmed for launching this July for Nintendo Switch 2. The game's official website details the first-run retail edition bonus that includes the new music as a bonus physical CD. With today's announcement from Clouded Leopard Entertainment, we have confirmation that the Asia Steam release will offer a discount to those who own the original Ys X: Nordics (CLE's version, not NIS America's version) for a limited time.

Check out the website for the Asia Steam and Switch 2 release here. Pricing has been confirmed for this release on both platforms alongside the confirmation that save data from Ys X: Nordics cannot be carried into Ys X: Proud Nordics. Ys X: Proud Nordics (at least through this Asia release) will include all bonus content from the original that isn't a consumable item. This means the ship decorations, attachments, and costumes will be included in Ys X: Proud Nordics

Ys X: Nordics is now available in the West on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam). You can find all our Ys X: Nordics coverage including Adam's review, platform comparisons, and more here
