Navinosuke -The Yo-kai Buster- releases for Nintendo Switch in early 2026

Kohachi Studio has revealed that they will release Navinosuke -The Yo-kai Buster- for Nintendo Switch in early 2026. The game will launch in Japanese and English, and the studio has also opened an official website for the game in both languages.

Akio, the game's scenario writer and development team leader, published more details about the game's development on his own X account. His team originally made Navinosuke as a side project in the early 2000s while they were primarily working on Metal Slug games for SNK. The team originally proposed to have this RPG released for Game Boy Advance with a GPS integration feature. However, these plans eventually fell through as GPS back then still was not as ubiquitous as it is in the current mobile era.

You can find the official trailer, screenshots, and descriptions for Navinosuke -The Yo-kai Buster- right below. The trailer contains both Japanese and English versions in the same video, with the English version appearing in its latter half.

A long-lost 2D pixel art RPG returns across time.

Originally completed two decades ago but never released, this hidden gem is now being faithfully rebuilt by KOHACHI STUDIO for Nintendo Switch™.
