The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon delayed to January 2026, now also coming to Switch 2
NIS America just announced that The Legend of Heroes: Trails beyond the Horizon is now also coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and the release has been delayed to January 2026 for all platforms.
Trails beyond the Horizon was originally set to launch on PS5, PS4, Switch, and PC platforms this Fall in West. It is now also coming to Nintendo Switch 2. The announcement from NIS America comes with a message from Toshihiro Kondo, Falcom's president. As of this writing, an upgrade path or any details for Switch to Switch 2 save transfer have not been revealed.
The pre-order page from NIS America confirms the Switch 2 version is a Game Key Card release and the Switch 2 Limited Edition on the NIS America store costs $10 more than PS5, PS4, and Nintendo Switch.

In order to provide the best experience for all players regardless of platform, all platforms, including Nintendo Switch 2, are now scheduled to launch in January 2026.
