Yasumi Matsuno clarifies the localization scripts used by Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles
Yasumi Matsuno, who wrote and directed the original Final Fantasy Tactics, clarified which scripts will be used by Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles. Announced earlier in June, The Ivalice Chronicles is an enhanced remaster of Final Fantasy Tactics, and is slated for launch on September 30 for current-generation platforms.

In a post on Twitter responding to a fan requesting that an "unchanged" original script be used in The Ivalice Chronicles, Matsuno outlined which scripts will be used for which modes. He also instructed fans to direct any requests or comment to Square Enix.
Here is a summary of the scripts.
Classic:
JPN : Script of the original version (PS1).
ENG : Script of the Lion's War version (PSP).
Enhanced:
JPN : New version modified for remastering.
ENG : New version translated from the above Japanese version.
Please contact SQUARE ENIX with any requests. Thank you.
Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles will have two modes of play: A "Classic" mode that approximates a play experience closer to the PS1 original, and an "Enhanced" mode that benefits from a redesigned UI, full voice acting, enhanced visuals, and additional conversations.
Based on Matsuno's comment, the Classic mode will use the original script in Japanese and the War of the Lions script in English, while the Enhanced edition will have modifications in both languages. In Japanese, the original script will be modified - possibly to account for the additional conversations and scenes, with the English Enhanced mode script adapted from that version.
One wrinkle to the use of the War of the Lions script is that The Ivalice Chronicles will not include the content added for War of the Lions. This includes appearances from characters like Final Fantasy XII's Balthier and additional jobs like Dark Knight and Onion Knight.
Final Fantasy Tactics - The Ivalice Chronicles will launch on September 30, 2025 on PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch and Switch 2, PC, and Xbox Series X|S.
