Princess Maker: Children of Revelation launches for PC via Steam Early Access
D-ZARD has today launched an Early Access version of Princess Maker: Children of Revelation for PC via Steam. The studio plans to release around 2-3 major updates before they complete the game and leave Early Access by the first half of 2026.
Even though D-ZARD has yet to add this title to the Princess Maker franchise lineup on Steam as of this launch, the new game is bona fide part of the series. When the South Korean studio showcased Children of Revelation at Tokyo Game Show 2024, their CEO Dong Hyun Kim revealed to 4Gamer how the series creator Takami Akai was impressed by their fan art and even suggested them to make a new game.
D-ZARD also managed to obtain a license from Akai's company, Yonago Gainax, to formally produce Children of Revelation as a new entry to the series. The studio is planning to release the full game on Nintendo Switch in addition to PC, with other additional consoles also under consideration.
The above interview also confirmed that the default protagonist girl in Children of Revelation is Karen Daidoji. She has previously appeared as the protagonist of the 2001 PC entry, Princess Maker Q. But while Karen was originally slated to also become the protagonist of Princess Maker 4, the latter game ended up having a drastic change in its development.
