
Borderlands 4 showcases Rafa the Exo-Soldier in new trailer
2K and Gearbox Software have released a new Borderlands 4 gameplay overview trailer today to showcase Rafa the Exo-soldier.
Rafa has been designed to be a great gateway for first-person shooter players to get into Borderlands 4's gameplay. Rafa's overview trailer goes over the weaponry in Rafa's Deadframe exo-suit across different ranges and more. This trailer arrives less than a day after 2K and Gearbox Software announced Borderlands 4's Nintendo Switch 2 release date and Gearbox Software's Randy Pitchford revealed that the Nintendo Switch 2 version will run around 30fps.

Borderlands 4 launches on September 12 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). It will release on October 3 for Nintendo Switch 2.

In the Rafa Gameplay Overview, you can learn more about how he masterfully wields the cutting-edge weaponry stored in his Deadframe exo-suit. This former Tediore trooper is ready for fights at any distance, whether he's slicing through enemies at melee range with his twin Arc-Knives, perforating midrange targets with his Peacebreaker Cannons, or blasting holes through multiple enemies with charged-up rounds from his APOPHIS Lance.
Borderlands 4 launches worldwide on September 12, 2025 via PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store, and is available for pre-order now. It will also be coming to Nintendo Switch 2 on October 3, 2025. More info on Switch 2 pre-orders will be available in the future.
