Nippon Ichi Software to release Hono-gurashi no Niwa for Switch 1&2, PS5, and PC Steam on July 30, 2026

The Japanese version of the July 2025 Nintendo Direct featured the exclusive reveal of Hono-gurashi no Niwa, which will be released next year on July 30, 2026. Nippon Ichi soon afterwards revealed that this game will be available not only for Nintendo Switch 1 & 2 but also PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam.

Nippon Ichi's Japanese X accounts also confirm that this game is being made by the same development team behind the Yomawari survival horror game series. The connection is further reinforced at the end of the trailer, where ghosts can and will appear at night. This would also factor into the Japanese title, which can be translated to either "Warm-living Garden" or "Faint-living Garden".

You can find the Nintendo Direct reveal trailer for Hono-gurashi no Niwa right below. We have also gathered screenshots and translated the game's details from the Japanese official website. As this reveal was exclusively made in the Japanese Nintendo Direct, it remains to be seen when NIS America will announce the localization of this title.
