The whole Persona series has sold over 27 million units after July 2025
Atlus has formally announced a couple of new sales milestones for the Persona series. The whole series has now provided over 27 million combined units sold after the end of July 2025. In addition, the company officially confirmed that Persona 3 Reload has surpassed 2 million units sold on its own.
There is an emphasis on the "official" announcement here, as Atlus' group parent Sega Sammy inadvertently spilled the beans in their Management Meeting slides that were uploaded last June. According to the hidden table, Persona 3 Reload had 1,220,000 units sold in FY24 and 850,000 units in FY25, which would have totaled 2,070,000 units. Since Sega Sammy originally noted their fiscal years by the ending months (FY24/3 & FY25/3), the launch sales for P3R—which came out on February 2, 2024—should be included in the FY24 column.
Regardless of the leaks, Atlus has shared new art of the Persona 3 protagonist by Shigenori Soejima to celebrate the milestones. The English notes published on Atlus West's account mention P3R's 2 million sales milestone while hyping up for its upcoming release of the Nintendo Switch 2 edition on October 23.
We’re making it out of Tartarus with this one - Persona 3 Reload has officially sold 2 million units worldwide! 🎉

The original Japanese version of the post, meanwhile, also included the whole Persona series' 27 million sales milestone, which is somehow omitted from the English version for whatever reason.
