Yuke's acquires Aquaplus and their music subsidiary F.I.X. Records
Yuke's announced (PDF) that they have acquired Aquaplus, as well as the latter's music subsidiary F.I.X. Records. Both companies will now be placed as Yuke's subsidiaries. This announcement is also a follow-up to the prior news in June, where Aquaplus' now-former parent Pole To Win was looking to sell the company.
Yuke's has been best known for working on wrestling games like AEW: Fight Forever and the WWE games up to WWE 2K19. However, the company's portfolio also included development assistance of Bandai Namco's Tales of Arise and Cygames' Granblue Fantasy: Relink. By acquiring Aquaplus and F.I.X. Records, the company has also gained access to the staff team behind visual novels like ToHeart and White Album, as well as the Utawarerumono strategy RPG series and the recording company behind those games' theme songs.

As of this writing, Aquaplus still has Utawarerumono: Shiro he no Michishirube under development. While the new game has an initially announced release window of Fall 2025, we are fast approaching the season that will start next September.
