Toho Games reveals Sakuna of Rice and Ruin: Hinuka's Traversing Spirit Tale for mobile and PC via Steam

Edelweiss has revealed that they are working with Toho Games to release Tensui no Sakuna-hime: Hinuka Junreitan for PC via Steam, as well as iOS and Android mobile devices. The new game's Japanese title can also be translated to Sakuna of Rice and Ruin: Hinuka's Traversing Spirit Tale.

As implied by the mobile platforms, this new game will appear as a free-to-play title based on Edelweiss and Marvelous' hit console game, Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. The mobile-PC game project itself has been teased since last November, though. Its official genre hints at a combination of farming simulation and exploration battle RPG. G2 Studios will be in charge of this game's development.

So far, only the two main characters have been revealed for this new game. The series protagonist Princess Sakuna will make her return, together with her Japanese voice actress Naomi Ozora. Accompanying her will be the new titular character Princess Hinuka, who will be voiced by Machico. More details about this free-to-play game will be revealed at a later time.
