X.D. will publish Blue Protocol: Star Resonance in South Korea and Japan in 2025

South Korean publisher X.D. has revealed that they will be the publisher for Blue Protocol: Star Resonance in not only South Korea but also Japan. Both countries will see the mobile and PC MMORPG available in 2025, which so far also goes in line with the Western English release.

The confirmation of Star Resonance's Japanese release means things are finally coming full circle in the country. Bandai Namco used to launch the original Blue Protocol MMORPG in Japan, but that one was abruptly shut down last January, with its Western English localization plans also shelved.

The Shanghai-based Chinese studio Bokura picked up the franchise and developed it into Star Resonance, which launched first in Mainland China last month on July 17. Bokura is also working with multiple publishers to bring their game worldwide.

As a side note, Haoplay has also been spotted as another publisher for Star Resonance that will provide the Traditional Chinese version to Chinese-speaking regions across Asia; namely Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, and Malaysia. As A Plus' Western English release is only slated to cover Europe and the Americas, it is yet to be known whether the game will be available in other countries included on the Steam page's blacklist, such as India, Indonesia, and the Philippines.
