During the Indie World showcase, Coldblood announced that Neverway, its simulation horror RPG with action combat, will also be coming to Nintendo Switch. The trailer also confirmed a 2026 release window.

If you've not kept up with the game, Neverway is co-directed by Pedro Medeiros, known for pixel-art work on Celeste, with music by Disasterpiece (Hyper Light Drifter). You can currently wishlist Neverway on PC (Steam). The official game website is here.

You can find the English and Japanese Indie World trailers and details from Coldblood below:

Hello!!!! As you may have noticed, we’re very excited today!!!!!!

Neverway was just featured as part of the latest Indie World. Obviously, this means that we’re launching on Nintendo Switch!

We also got featured in the Japanese Indie World broadcast, look!

The Japanese version turned out quite different from the English one, as it's the first time we’re sharing actual spoilers (!!!) for the story, so probably only watch it if you don’t mind the spoilers.

Finally, we're ready to announce that Neverway will release in 2026, for both PC and Nintendo Switch! Definitely scary and exciting.

*And* we’re part of this year’s Tiny Teams event, which is super cool for a small team like ours!! Although we won’t participate in the stream showcase, we highly recommend checking out all the other cool games there!

So what's next?
Anyway! That was A Lot Of Things. Honestly, we're just excited to get back and finally focus on creating tons of new content for the game.

After our first in-person event at BitSummit, we were very happy with the reviews and feedback we got from people that played the game. In particular, I loved when people noticed some small details that we added to the game (I really thought no one would notice!), or hearing how the story resonated with them. Over 200 people played the whole prologue! And there were zero bugs!!!! Well, except for this one person who managed to talk to an NPC through a wall.

We already have some ideas on how to get the prologue in the best shape possible for an eventual public demo, we'll let you know when the timing is right. Thank you for everyone's support and for trusting us!
