NIS America to release Starbites for PS5, Switch 1&2, and PC via Steam in North America in early 2026
NIS America has revealed that they will release Ikina Games' Starbites to North America in early 2026. The company added that this RPG will also be available on Nintendo Switch 2 in addition to Switch 1, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam.
This South Korean-made game was initially revealed at the TGS 2024 Xbox Showcase as The Starbites: Taste of Desert. However, with this English localization announcement, alongside an earlier Japanese release announcement, the game appears to have simplified its title while changing its announced release platforms, as the game will seemingly no longer release on Xbox Series X|S.
NIS America's website contains Japanese screenshots, suggesting the English localization is based on the Japanese release, which will be published by Happinet on October 16. However, the announcement of a Switch 2 version is brand-new, and Happinet has not yet confirmed whether Japan will also see release on the platform.
You can find the new trailer, screenshots, and descriptions for the North American localization of Starbites right below. While the Japanese release will fully support Japanese and Korean languages, the North American version will instead have full English language support with additional voiceovers in Japanese and Korean, as well as subtitles in French.
