Octopath Traveler 0 digital pre-orders are now live on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch 1

Square Enix has launched digital pre-orders for Octopath Traveler 0 on the eShop for both Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

The digital pre-order pages confirm that you will be able to transfer Octopath Traveler 0 save data from the Switch 1 version to the Switch 2 version, but there is no upgrade path as previously confirmed. The eShop pages also have different screenshots likely giving us our first look at the visual differences between Octopath Traveler 0 on Switch and Switch 2. Note that the comparison above is using both Switch and Switch 2 eShop screenshots. It is unclear if the differences in the full game will be the same and will apply to both docked and handheld modes.
