Indomitable Blade is renamed to The Land of Seidr with a new release window in 2026
Nanbu Works has published new information for Indomitable Blade, but it has since undergone massive changes. The indie roguelite tactical RPG shall now be known instead as The Land of Seidr. The Japanese press release also notified a change in the game's release window from 2025 to 2026.
When we previously covered this game in 2024, Nanbu Works announced that Yoshimi Kudo is working as the music composer. The indie studio has since also added Kuen, who had earlier worked on Urban Myth Dissolution Center, as an illustrator for the game's UI and items.
You can find the new trailer and description for The Land of Seidr right below. This game will be available in Japanese and English on PC via Steam, but the new trailer also hints at an additional release for Nintendo Switch. A demo build of the game will also be available physically at Tokyo Game Show 2025 on booth 10-C09.
Story
A world where the Horn and Lausram people are in conflict, the barrier protecting the Horn people's country, Greusdal, has been broken, and the massive Lausram army is advancing.
The Horn people, known for their military prowess, were optimistic and each clan eagerly headed to the frontlines, seeing it as an opportunity to demonstrate their strength. This included the chief of the Solskog clan, Freyja. The people are yet unaware of the cruel fate lurking behind the broken barrier.
This game offers no exhilarating comebacks or legendary swords to change the tide of battle. All that remains is the desolate land and the people crushed by despair. Even if the world and pride they believe in are lost, do we still have the strength to move forward?
Strategy
A unique combat system where every parameter can be the target of normal attacks. Attack "defense" for well-protected enemies or "strength" for those with powerful weapons, adapting your strategy to survive brutal battles.
A combat system where all parameters can be attacked. No matter how strong a warrior is, they will gradually weaken as their parameters take damage.
Compact design allowing for completion of each map in about 10-15 minutes. Enjoy deep strategy in a short amount of time.
Allies who fall in battle never revive. Each move by the player determines their fate.
Squad Management Under Pressure
As all stats can be targeted, units inevitably weaken through repeated battles. Healing costs resources, but without it, your squad will wear down. Yet spending too much on recovery hinders long-term growth like skill acquisition. As a commander, you must balance risk and investment to ensure survival.
